A Lovely Stay in a Home like Hostel
I like this hostel, I could actually happily stay here for a few nights (premade salad things from delis have way too much dressing…) On different nights of the week they have cute, free events here! Tonight is a movie night, which has actually just started and I’ll go check it out soon. I’m staying up on the very top (3rd) floor and it’s a good thing I’m traveling light otherwise those stairs would be killer. So far, the people have been very nice and it kind of feels like I’m in a dorm again, which I love (I had really nice dorms at school). There are people of all ages (but not children) and while the common areas are small, I don’t mind. I think it’s cozy (but I don’t mind crowds). I’m in a 6 female room sharing with women from all over the world: China, Canada/New Zealand, San Francisco, etc.
Another person here said she couldn’t quite place where I was from, she thought maybe Canada, but my accent was not that strong or distinct, which I like. She wasn’t the first person to tell me this on my trip, and I’m sure she won’t be the last.
I like hostels, if they’re all like this one. I know some are sketchy, but this one is cute and I feel comfortable and not lonely at all. I feel at home here, which is funny. Okay, maybe not “at home” but like in a good college dorm, but without homework! I really like it here, for whatever reason.
It’s been fun to talk to all of the other travelers and to hear about where they’re coming from and where they’re going. There’s a nice atmosphere here and lots of stories to be shared.
